Final Stages of Preparation

We are just days away from kicking off another year of La Fuente at Envision El Salvador. Things have been quiet the last six weeks, but we look forward to our La Fuente sites being filled with students again.

La Fuente:

La Fuente San Salvador and La Fuente Apopa will begin regular programming in a few days. Envision Staff has been working tirelessly to prepare for the year. We are happy to have many students returning for another year of La Fuente. We desire to faithfully cast seeds, soften the soil, and pour water with each youth God allows us to work with.

LFFC:

La Fuente Football Club is currently working to register in a semi-professional league, coached by Stanley and Sam. This March Stanley will begin his formal coaching training to be recognized as a licensed coach in El Salvador (D-grade). This tournament will begin in June 2024.

Teams:

By the end of May, our 2024 group season will officially begin. Laura is working hard to ensure groups are prepared, prepped, and ready to join us in ministry. We still have openings in June and August. Please email Laura to learn more: RodriguezL@weareenvision.com

Construction Project:

I am delighted to be able to write that more progress has been made on the future Envison El Salvador guest house. Most walls have been built on the second floor. While we are approaching the end of this incredibly long project, we still need your help. Please reach out to Sam to learn how you or youre church can financially support this project: sam.andersen.env@gmail.com

Escalantes:

Tony, Claudia, Diego, and Raquel safely made it back to Colorado Springs and are adjusting smoothly. Please join us in praying that they receive their "reentry permit" which will allow them to live in El Salvador while maintaining their permit residency in the States.

Secondly, the Escalante family needs monthly support to continue serving Envison El Salvador. If you are interested in learning how to support Tony and his family, he asks that you please email him: EscalanteT@weareenvision.com

Scholarship Program:

This year Mauricio and Christopher have earned scholarships to receive a quality high school education. This will be Maurioco's second year and final year studying at Maranatha. For Christopher this will be his first year of private education, therefore we expect this to be a large transition for him. With hard work, we are confident that Christopher can have a successful year with good grades.

Prayer Requests:

  • Our biggest request, as always, is for the souls of the students. Please pray that they will fully surrender to Jesus.

  • Pray for the students to adapt to a new year of LF (Apopa and San Salvador).

  • Pray for Envision staff to lead these students wisely, and for wisdom from the Lord to disciple and encourage them in Christ.

  • The process of registering the La Fuente FC team in the semi-professional league.

  • For Laura and the teams as they prepare for another year of short-term mission trips.

  • For funds to finish the Envision Guest House.

  • Pray that Tony and his family will receive both the needed permit from the US Government and the needed funds to keep serving with Envision El Salvador.

  • For Mauricio and Christopher, they have begun a new year of difficult studies.
