New Year, Same God

Happy New Year everyone! We hope that you've had a restful start to 2020. We're eager to see the ways in which God reveals Himself this year.

Tony will be traveling to Mexico for the Latin American Regional Conference North to meet with other C&MA missionaries and leaders in this region. He'll be gone from Jan 25-31. Pray for safe travels and protection for him and his family while he's gone. Pray that every meeting would be life-giving and that he can connect even more with his fellow international workers.

We ask you to continue praying for Laura Rodriguez, who will soon be joining us as Site Associate. She is currently waiting on the Lord to provide the rest of her funding, which can be a challenging but rewarding process. Pray that the Lord would provide the right people and churches to partner with her, and that she would remain firmly grounded in the Lord's promise and calling. If any of you feel led to partner with her, please contact us!

Finally, we'd like to share that one of our most beloved members of our staff, Gloria, has begun her first year at a local university in order to study psychology! She feels greatly motivated by our La Fuente teens and has always sought out ways to help them. With this training she can help them not only spiritually, but professionally. Join us in praying for Gloria and this new endeavor!

Ministries

La Fuente

Our teens went back to school this week after a long two-month vacation. We hope and pray that our teens would be adjusting well to being back in the classroom, and that the Lord would provide for their families as they purchase any necessary supplies.

Gloria has been driving all around town (praise God she got her license!) looking for school supplies for our seven scholarship students. It was a huge task, but all seven of them have what they need to study and the new ones have been fitted with their new uniforms. Pray that each of them would lean into the Lord in this new school year and that He'd prepare them for the year ahead. The transition to this rigorous school will be especially challenging for our new students, but we have faith that the Lord will strengthen and discipline them to succeed and grow.

Our first day of La Fuente will be a youth group service on February 1st. We hope to use this time to welcome back all of our La Fuente teens and also to welcome all the new students! Our normal La Fuente schedule will start on February 11th. Pray that the Lord would prepare their hearts as well as our staff to begin this new year in ministry.

This year in La Fuente, Mavericks and La Fuente F.C., we will be undergoing many changes and we ask you to help us pray as we transition into this new season. We know that God has everything in His hands and that He will remain faithful to this ministry as we seek to honor Him.

Online High School

We're excited to share that in the end, we have four students who have enrolled and committed to our new online high school program! Please help us as we hire a tutor who can be fully dedicated to these students and their time with us. Pray that this would be more than a job for them; that it would be their calling. We're relying on God to connect us with the right person to minister and mentor our teens.

Interns

Please continue praying for Jonathan and Shannon as well as Chance, who will be arriving in early March. Pray for provision for their funding, as well as preparation in their hearts. We're so excited to meet them and will be introducing you all to them in March!

We are also expecting another intern, Samuel, to come in May. In the same way pray for his preparation and fundraising process to come here.

Pray for our current residents, Andrea and Anjolenna, who are seeking the Lord's wisdom and direction as they consider their next steps after their time here. Pray that He would give them peace and prepare them in their last couple of months with our ministry.

Prayer Requests

  • Please continue to pray for the 75 sponsors we need for our two La Fuente programs. We trust that God will provide exactly what we need, and that we will continue to work for His kingdom. With plenty or with want, we can do all things through Him who strengthens us.

  • Pray for our first La Fuente meeting on February 1. Pray that the Lord would give us the words we need to speak to our teens and that we could start off the year with encouraged spirits.

  • Pray for our future staff members. We're currently looking to hire for several positions and we trust that God will provide the right people to complete and enrich our Envision family and ministry.

  • Pray for all the groups we have scheduled for this coming season. Pray that the Lord would prepare them well to come and serve and that He would lead us as we connect them with our ministry and partner ministry.

Thank you as always for being fierce prayer warriors for this ministry. Together let's look to God for direction and strength as we work for His kingdom.

In Him,

Envision El Salvador
